Sports-Based Teaching Assistant
Hours: Monday to Friday, 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM
Hourly Rate: £12.82 per hour
Location: Central Southampton (SO14)
Are you passionate about sports and education? Do you enjoy working with children, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Sports-Based Teaching Assistant to join our team at a vibrant primary school in the heart of Central Southampton (SO14).
Key Responsibilities:
- Support primary-aged children in sports activities, promoting physical activity, teamwork, and healthy competition.
- Work closely with a small group of children with SEN, providing tailored support to meet their individual needs.
- Assist in the planning and delivery of engaging sports sessions, ensuring all children are included and feel confident.
- Encourage positive behavior, helping children develop social skills, self-esteem, and confidence.
- Provide general classroom support when needed, ensuring a positive and nurturing learning environment.
Key Skills and Experience:
- A keen interest in sports, with the ability to inspire and motivate young children.
- Experience working with primary-aged children, including those with special educational needs (SEN), is beneficial.
- A proactive, friendly, and patient attitude, with a passion for helping children achieve their best.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
