Experienced Teaching Assistant required - Primary SEMH School in Southampton - ASAP start!

Academics have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant to join a successful Primary SEMH School in Southampton. This is a full-time, term-time role starting ASAP! This is a possible temp to perm contract so if you are ultimately looking for a permanent position and you get on well, this is for you.Working hours are: Monday-Friday (term-time) - 8.50am - 3.40pm - 20 minute break during the dayTuesday's - 8.50am - 4.10pm (staff meeting) The school are a small special school in Southampton for children aged 7-11 who experience social, emotional and behavioural difficulties. All pupils experience challenging behaviour and may also have many associated conditions and disabilities such as ADHD, Autistic Spectrum disorders and attachment disorders. Every child has an Education, Health and Care Plan.They are seeking someone ideally with experience of supporting children with challenging behaviours. You must be resilient, empathetic, patient and be able to develop positive relationships with young children.
