My client a world leader in the design of state-of-the-art electronics is looking for two Environmental Product Test Engineers to play a key role in ensuring products meet the highest standards of reliability. This is a hands-on role for someone passionate about testing products for extreme environments, including thermal, humidity, shock, and vibration conditions.
Your Role
- Oversee daily operations of the Environmental Test Laboratory.
- Ensure equipment is maintained, safe, and ready for use.
- Manage inventory and lab resources efficiently.
- Maintain health and safety standards.
- Train other lab users and promote best practices.
- Develop testing capabilities to ensure products are robust and reliable.
- Create and execute test strategies based on customer requirements.
- Process and document test data and results in line with industry standards.
What You Bring
- Experience in a fast-paced product development environment.
- HND, BSc, or BEng in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
- Practical experience with environmental testing, such as:
- Vibration, shock, and drop testing.
- Thermal cycling
- Salt mist/corrosion testing
- Water ingress protection
- Humidity testing
- Solid problem-solving skills and understanding of engineering principles.
- Familiarity with mass production processes (e.g., injection moulding, die-casting).
- Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills.
- Fluent in English (written and verbal).
- Willingness to work on-site, 5 days a week.
