My client are seeking a Quality Inspector with experience in an engineering environment to join their team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Inspection and will ideally have a background as a Tool Maker or Quality Inspector. This role offers the opportunity to learn new skills, including basic machining and assembly, while primarily focusing on inspection tasks.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Conduct detailed inspection of all components upon entry using precision measuring equipment such as micrometres and verniers.
  • Perform pre-process and final inspection checks of assembled components.
  • Assemble components according to internal processes (training provided within the role).
  • Balance rotors and manage calibration logging of tooling and inspection.
  • Record information for audit purposes and carry out internal audits (training provided).
  • Manage traceability and process improvement.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Capable of multitasking and working under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in generating inspection reports and articulating issues to the management team.
  • Experience in machining is preferred, with a minimum of 5 years in engineering inspection required.
  • Must be authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
