- Proactively seeking new opportunities for business through both warm and cold telephone outreach
- Providing an introduction of the company and services to prospective clients to ascertain if there is a current or future need for funding requirements
- Conducting research and fact-finding to gather information on the prospective business, in order to discuss relevant options that are available to them
- Managing own diary to achieve both business and personal targets and touch points
- Building strong working relationships with business contacts, ensuring a high level of service and professionalism is maintained
- Contributing to regular team meetings
- Maintaining and accurate record of telephone conversations
- A good background in either a financial, business or telemarketing related role
- Excellent communication skills, particularly via the telephone
- Good commercial and business acumen
- Strong computer literacy, particularly with Microsoft Office and CRM systems (SalesLogix would be ideal)
- Fantastic organisational abilities and a good attention to detail
