My client are a leading designer and technical manufacturer. They are seeking a Project Manager to drive the implementation of the next-generation of products through the full product development lifecycle. This role is pivotal in managing the needs of all stakeholders including product marketing, development, and operations, ensuring the success of new product introductions.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Responsible for the execution of the full product development lifecycle for new product introductions (NPI), coordinating with Product Line Technical Leads and aligning with strategic plans.
  • Coordinate cross-functional project planning, tracking, and cost management.
  • Serve as the program/project lead, providing timely and accurate project statuses to the business.
  • Report NPI project progress to senior management against key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Provide cost tracking and financial analysis of projects.
  • Obtain stakeholder buy-in and coordinate the implementation of project deliverables across the business.
  • Lead planning activities to generate project schedules and associated work packages for successful project implementation.
  • Identify and manage project risks.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Utilize digital systems for task management and tracking.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of project management experience in a high-tech development/manufacturing industry /complex component manufacturing.
  • Experience in delivering large-scale and complex NPI into lean manufacturing environments with cross-functional project teams.
  • Proficiency in innovative and flexible project management methodologies.
  • Strong familiarity with NPI processes and documentation standards.
  • A STEM degree is preferable but not essential.
  • Awareness of Project Management methodologies and tools.
  • Excellent IT skills, with strong experience using Microsoft Project and Jira.

Personal Profile:

  • Ability to coordinate, influence, and motivate team members across various disciplines and functions without direct reporting line responsibility.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, adept at meeting the needs of internal/external customers and suppliers at all business levels.
  • Capable of absorbing complex technical and operational issues and rapidly facilitating the definition and implementation of resolution plans/actions.
  • Works calmly under pressure and embraces change in a rapidly moving environment.
  • Recognized as a strong problem solver with the initiative to develop innovative solutions.
  • Self-driven with the adaptability to be flexible, prioritize, and deliver against deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels both inside and outside the business.
