Cobalt is partnering with a forward thinking local authority that has a blossoming investment property portfolio. Within this 12 month fixed term contract, you'll take the ownership of a portfolio of three BTR developments in the local area to manage all aspects of common services including maintenance and compliance, as well as supporting the FM across a mixed-use portfolio across the borough.

Our client is forward-thinking and innovative, with a big commitment to providing sustainable FM services across cutting-edge new build properties across the commercial, residential, and leisure sectors. Proactive and keen to further develop/redevelop their existing assets where possible, this role will see you supported by an extensive further team as you deliver top-tier total FM solutions to rival the private sector.

Reporting directly into the Head of Property, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Oversee fire safety measures for residential buildings, ensuring compliance with the Fire Safety Act, the Fire Regulatory Order 2005, and all statutory regulations.
  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures to meet statutory requirements, adopt health and safety best practices, and ensure compliance with PPM schedules.
  • Deliver reactive repairs and maintain high standards of property presentation and customer service, particularly at the Council Civic Office.
  • Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., Housing, Waste, Open Spaces, and Asset Management) to coordinate Facilities Management, Health & Safety, and building requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with occupiers, service partners, and visitors, fostering trust and transparency in building safety matters.
  • Work with contractors and the Facilities Coordinator to ensure high standards, best value, and ongoing performance improvements through contract management and regular feedback.
  • Partner with the finance team to manage budgets, forecast expenses, and develop repair and renewal budgets for upcoming financial periods.
  • Assist the Asset Management team with annual service charge budgets and reconciliations.
  • Ensure all audit actions are updated monthly, progress is tracked, and tasks are completed within agreed timeframes.
  • Promote safe working environments and continuously implement best practices in health and safety.

As the successful candidate for this 12 month FTC, you'll be able to demonstrate a strong knowledge and practical experience base within Facilities Management - ideally within a residential or hospitality background as our client requires a strong understanding of the Building Safety and Fire Safety Acts.

You'll have a track record in managing common areas of buildings including plant room and reception areas, and be confident in bringing together a wide array of contractors and internal teams to deliver a first-class FM service delivery. An IOSH or NEBOSH is essential.
