Overview: We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Pensions Administrator to join our team at The University of Southampton,

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing and administering our pension schemes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate and check benefit calculations for pension scheme members.
  • Create and load contribution files accurately and efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with typical scheme reporting and audit requirements.
  • Manage and support a total of 8 pension schemes, including both defined benefit and defined contribution schemes.
  • Provide expert advice and support to scheme members and stakeholders.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of pension regulations and best practices.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external providers to ensure seamless pension administration.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Extensive experience in senior pensions administration.
  • Proven ability to generate and check benefit calculations.
  • Experience in creating and loading contribution files.
  • Familiarity with typical scheme reporting and audit requirements.
  • Experience working with both defined benefit and defined contribution schemes.
  • In-house pension scheme experience is highly advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
