Our fclient is a large local government organisation and looking for an experienced Procurement Business Partner to join their team

This is initiallly a 3 month contract which may be extended for the right applicant

You will

  • Successful and timely delivery of end to end procurement projects, including (but not limited to) producing procurement documentation, assistance with specification development, dealing with clarification requests, developing meaningful and realistic KPIs that accurately measure expectations and standards and evaluating tender responses.
  • Work closely with the contract management function and service areas to ensure the procurement and contract management lifecycle is maintained and a structured handover of the resulting contract is made.
  • Working closely with key business stakeholders, identify and implement appropriate procurement strategies to meet service area requirements from assisting with needs analysis through to completion of the full tender and evaluation process.
  • Manage workloads consisting of multiple projects within agreed timescales and adhere to procurement legislation and council standards at all times.
  • Provide technical input into tender documentation.
  • Build and develop close relationships with multiple stakeholders including legal, contract management and service areas.
  • Understand service areas’ needs and requirements as part of wider business planning initiatives, including consolidating requirements and spend as appropriate.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Work closely with Buying Team to ensure service area requirements are sourced in an effective and timely manner.

In collaboration with the Team Manager - Business Partnering, develop and deliver a 3 year programme of work based upon operational and business needs
