Job Summary : Assistant Quantity Surveyor
Position Type: Permanent, Hybrid working available
Location: Southampton
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum (DOE) + Pension and Benefits
Experience Required: Degree in Quantity Surveying, ARICS or studying for APC
Assistant Quantity Surveyor, Role Overview:
- Employer: Our client (Working out of Southampton)
- Reporting to:Senior Quantity Surveyor, Commercial Manager
Key Responsibilities, for Assistant Quantity Surveyor Role:
- Applications, valuations and cost value reconciliation.
- Cost control and forecasting. Preparing and supplying information for monthly reports: Value, Cost, Profit/Loss and Cash flow.
- Supply chain management.
- Assisting with Risk and Value Management to optimize solution and regularly review with the project team.
- Ensuring all safety risk situations are brough to the attention of site management.
- Ongoing liaison with site team, subcontractors and clients’ representatives.
- Contract Management – including all relevant contractual forms, methods of budgetary control and relevant software applications.
About You:
Essential:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
- ARICS or Studying for APC
- Experience working with a main contractor
Non-Essential:
- Experience working within Water (Non-Infrastructure)
- Knowledge of NEC contracts
- Knowledge of CEMAR
