To build on our success were looking to expand our Commercial team by recruiting a Quantity Surveyor.

As a Quantity Surveyor, youll be responsible for the commercials on various new and ongoing projects, including applications, invoices, contract change control, account management, supply chain management, procurement, business costs and any other commercial and contract documentation. You must be keen to develop your experience outside the traditional ways of working and embrace technology, understanding the duties and processes involved with other members of the commercial team and as required be able to assist and mentor other teams carrying out related tasks. This is an unrivalled opportunity to develop commercial understanding and put skills into action.

Key skills:

Collation, calculation, coordination and reporting on value of costs across project portfolios.

Manage and administer post contract change and variations.

Invoice values that come from the variation log, monthly invoicing and asset value claims.

Project QS management on major works projects including submission of monthly applications and day to day contract management.

Process internal and external cost information to ensure allocation to correct cost headings.

Raise subcontracts and advise wider commercial team with all aspects of procurement and rate management.

Manage and administer subcontract and supplier process.

Track invoice payments and timelines.

Assist with all general commercial work and other management including development of processes for audit and ISO compliance.

Qualifications and experience:

Educated in Quantity Surveying to at least NVQ/HNC level.

Ideally, civils, utilities or highways background

Relevant commercial experience in similar contracting work activities.

  • Experience in building relationships with both service providers and company partners, including Executives and other Senior Managers.

Good attention to detail with excellent time management skills.

Strong analytical skills to be able to manage, collate and store data ensuring best practise.

Team orientated individual with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.

A person who is driven to deliver, a can do achiever who can take the initiative to see changes through to delivery.

Additional:

Good working knowledge of Microsoft office (particularly Outlook, Excel, Word).

An analytical bias with the ability to provide solutions.

Experience of accounting and customer service software and applications.
