Description
- Manage all commercial aspects of residential projects.
- Prepare and manage cost plans, estimates, and budgets.
- Conduct valuations and prepare applications for payment.
- Manage procurement processes, including tender analysis and contractor selection.
- Administer contracts and resolve contractual disputes.
- Provide accurate cost reporting and forecasting.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Identify and mitigate commercial risks.
- Prepare final accounts and manage the handover process.
Profile
A successful Quantity Surveyor should have:
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor across the residential sector.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts and procurement processes.
- Excellent cost management and financial reporting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in relevant software packages (e.g., MS Excel, CostX, etc.).
- Relevant degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
- MRICS or working towards MRICS (desirable).
