We are seeking a meticulous and dedicated Quantity Surveyor to manage all budgeting and financial aspects of property projects. The successful candidate will conduct cost analyses, prepare cost plans, and liaise with clients and contractors, ensuring all property projects in Southampton are delivered on time and within budget.

Description

  • Manage all commercial aspects of residential projects.
  • Prepare and manage cost plans, estimates, and budgets.
  • Conduct valuations and prepare applications for payment.
  • Manage procurement processes, including tender analysis and contractor selection.
  • Administer contracts and resolve contractual disputes.
  • Provide accurate cost reporting and forecasting.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Identify and mitigate commercial risks.
  • Prepare final accounts and manage the handover process.

Profile

A successful Quantity Surveyor should have:

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor across the residential sector.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts and procurement processes.
  • Excellent cost management and financial reporting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant software packages (e.g., MS Excel, CostX, etc.).
  • Relevant degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
  • MRICS or working towards MRICS (desirable).
