Adopting a hybrid working model, they combine innovation with flexibility, ensuring a modern and collaborative working environment.In your new role as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will support the commercial team in various aspects of cost-effective building, from quantity surveying to procurement. Reporting to senior team members, your responsibilities will include assisting with cost control, compiling reports, maintaining compliance with group policies, and supporting subcontractor processes. You'll also be involved in tender preparations, managing subcontractor orders and payments, and contributing to the efficiency of departmental administration.What you'll need to succeed. The ideal candidate will be studying or recently qualified in surveying at a UK college or university, possess a valid CSCS card, and demonstrate strong numerical skills with excellent attention to detail. Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and a good standard of written English are essential. You should be methodical, organised, and able to work independently while thriving under pressure. Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships are key, along with a proactive and professional approach to tasks. Previous construction industry experience in the UK would be advantageous, as well as an understanding of UK construction systems and processes.
