Morson are currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to become part of one of the leading infrastructure solutions firms, entrusted with delivering a segment of Southern Water AMP7 framework. Collaborating with water and wastewater enterprises, this company devises solutions aimed at enhancing water quality, affordability, and resilience. The role is based in Southampton with some hybrid working and comes with a competitive salary, along with additional benefits including a car allowance, pension plan, and private medical insurance.

Skills and experience:
• Min 5 years commercial experience with knowledge and appreciation of relevant sector.
• Relevant Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• 10 years commercial experience within relevant water sector
• Continuously increase knowledge of various forms and options of contracts.
• Have experience or understanding of the risk management process for both schedule and cost, including the use of Earned Value Management.

Role Responsibilities:
• Lead and oversee the efficient and effective management, issuance, and compliance of accurate and timely notices and correspondence.
• Identify and communicate contractual and commercial risks and opportunities to the Project Director/Manager.
• Maintain registers for variations, delays, extensions of time, and claims, ensuring consistent application of the company's commercial policies and procedures.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly progress valuations and claims for completed work.
• Coordinate with the employers commercial team and the clients team.
• Produce pre-contract tender negotiations and reports as needed.
• Generate monthly cost reports, forecasts, and contract budget reports.
• Review value management processes and provide advice on risk management.
• Prepare, review, and finalize sub-contract documentation.
• Plan and manage change control and cost control processes.
• Prepare and agree on interim applications for payment.
