Senior Quantity Surveyor
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join an established main contractor based in Southampton. The contractor operates out of several regional offices across the country with projects across various sectors including commercial, education, healthcare and defence. Projects value between 10mil - 80mil and are administered via a mix of JCT and NEC forms of contract.
About the role of Senior Quantity Surveyor:
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing projects from pre-construction through to final account. You will work collaboratively with the operational teams and will likely be working with an Assistant QS. You will report into the commercial manager.
Key Responsibilities as Senior Quantity Surveyor:
- Involvement in pre-construction activities
- Sub-contract procurement
- Managing sub-contract packages
- Client valuations
- Dealing with sub-contractor variations
- Final accounts
Key Requirements for this Senior Quantity Surveyor position:
- Have obtained a HNC / Construction related degree
- Have a proven track record of managing projects valued up to 15mil.
- Have strong working knowledge of JCT and NEC forms of contract.
- Experience working on framework schemes such a DfE or SCF would be beneficial.
