Your new role

This is a 12m FTC for a Senior HR / People Advisor to cover maternity leave, reporting to the Head of HR. Due to timescales, the successful applicant must be available within 2 weeks.

The role of Senior HR Advisor is to support the business with advice and guidance, processing all documentation and correspondence relating to employee lifecycle matters.

Providing expert HR and employment law advice, coaching and mentoring colleagues and line managers; improving managers' confidence to deal with day to day first line HR queries.Role summary:

  • Strong experience managing a variety of ER casework
  • Experience of change management, including restructuring and redundancy
  • Ability to work closely with senior managers and build effective working relationships
  • Conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to work self-sufficiently in a role with a great degree of autonomy.

This role is office-based in Southampton due to the industry, but may offer 1 day WFH / week. Working hours are 37.5 / week with flexibility on start and finish times too. What you'll need to succeedThis opportunity will suit a competent, organised HR / People professional with experience in a similar role who is CIPD qualified (Level 3 minimum) with current knowledge of employment law including recent / upcoming changes.
