Technical Officer

My client is a leading Marine treatment firm who operate on a global basis with ongoing projects in the Middle East, Europe and the United States. They are now seeking a Technical Officer to join their Southampton based team. The ideal candidate will come from a Marine Engineering / Marine Biology degree, will have experience working around / on marine vessels, will be prepared to travel both inside the UK and internationally as required and will be based locally to Southampton.

• Set-up and Installation of product dispensers and pumps onboard Marine vessels
• Providing client follow up and after-care where required
• Keeping detailed and well organised files on each client, updating these daily
• Proactively monitoring product performance and troubleshooting any operational issues as they arise
• Managing all Health and Safety requirements and implementing relevant procedures
• Travelling to / on vessels as required with opportunities to travel to North America, Singapore and Europe.

• Degree qualified in either Marine Engineering, Maine Biology or Chemistry / Chemical Engineering
• Previous experience working on and around marine vessels (Yachts & Cruise Liners)
• Any experience with ISO9001, 14001 and or 18001 standards would be beneficial
• Proficient with Microsoft office
• Previous experience and a self-sufficient approach to doing so
• Full drivers' licence and a valid passport are essential

• Salary 25,000 - 30,000 DOE
• 8:30 - 17:00 Monday - Friday
• 30 Days inclusive of public
