Contract: Long-term until July 2025 (with potential to become permanent)
Pay: £140.86 - £230 per day (depending on experience)
Location: Southampton
Hours: 8am – 4pm, Full-time
About the Role:
Supply Desk is working with a Secondary school in Southampton, seeking a dedicated English teacher to join their team. This role involves teaching all aspects of English, with occasional general cover, and includes allocated time for planning and marking. The school is looking for a candidate with strong subject knowledge, excellent classroom management skills, and a positive, relationship-building approach. This is a fantastic opportunity for both experienced teachers and those looking to further develop their skills in a supportive educational setting.

The school is a mixed Secondary school based in Southampton, catering to students aged 11 and up, with a student body of around 800. It has a solid reputation for academic success and offers a supportive environment with a committed staff team. Onsite parking is available for staff.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Be a committed and collaborative team player
- Have a proven track record of improving student attainment
- Be confident and adaptable in different classroom environments
- Demonstrate strong classroom management skills
- Have the ability to engage students in English, making lessons fun and relatable
- Hold a current valid DBS or be willing to obtain one
- Be comfortable teaching Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5 pupils
