Contract Type: Full-Time, Fixed term until the end of the academic year but permanent for the right person

The Role:
As a History Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and thought-provoking lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. You will have the opportunity to inspire students, encouraging them to explore the past while developing key skills that will serve them throughout their academic journey. The ideal candidate will have a passion for history, be able to demonstrate strong classroom management, and have the ability to make historical topics accessible and engaging to all learners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver, and assess History lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Foster a positive learning environment and engage students in historical inquiry
- Monitor and track student progress, providing support and feedback as needed
- Collaborate with colleagues within the department to share resources and best practices
- Participate in school-wide initiatives and contribute to the school's values and ethos
What We Are Looking For:
- A qualified History Teacher with a relevant degree and teaching qualification (QTS preferred)
- Passionate about History and able to engage students of all abilities
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
- Previous experience teaching History at secondary level is desirable
- A proactive and positive approach to teaching and learning
