Overview:
Supply Desk is recruiting on behalf of a respected Secondary School in Southampton, seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Maths Teacher to start in January 2025. This temporary position offers the possibility to become permanent. You will be teaching Maths across KS3 and KS4 in a well-supported and thriving department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality Maths lessons in line with the school’s curriculum.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Use formative and summative assessments to track student progress and provide timely feedback.
  • Maintain a positive and engaging classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, students, and parents to foster a supportive learning community.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A degree in Mathematics or a related subject.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for teaching Maths.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Previous experience teaching secondary school students is desirable but not essential.
