Prospero Teaching is looking for a Religious Studies Teacher for an Ofsted "Good" Secondary school in Hamble. The school is a medium size mainstream Secondary School with a supportive R.E department. The school is going from strength to strength and providing CPD throughout the year. For this role the school will be key stage 3 and key stage 4. This is a vibrant and inclusive educational institution dedicated to fostering a diverse and respectful learning environment. We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Religious Studies Teacher to join our team and inspire students through engaging and thought-provoking lessons.

Job Title: Religious Studies Teacher

Location: Hamble, Hampshire

Position Type: Full- Time, Temp- Perm contract

Salary: £31,650- £49,084 per annum

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Religious Studies lessons to students of varying ages and abilities.
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that covers a wide range of religious traditions, beliefs, and practices.
  • Encourage critical thinking, open discussion, and respectful debate among students.
  • Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate different learning styles and needs.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback to students, parents, and other staff members.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes mutual respect and understanding.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support the overall educational goals of the school.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
