We are working alongside a secondary school based in Southampton who are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Sociology Teacher to join them in January 2025.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Sociology lessons to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, ensuring content aligns with the national curriculum.
  • Plan and implement engaging lesson plans that stimulate student interest and foster a love for Sociology.
  • Assess students' work regularly, providing constructive feedback and setting achievable targets for improvement.
  • Monitor student progress, identifying areas for support or extension, and prepare students for GCSE and A-Level examinations.
  • Contribute to the development of the Sociology curriculum and teaching resources.

Requirements:

  • Must be a qualified teacher.
  • Experience teaching Sociology in a secondary school setting, including familiarity with the GCSE and A-Level specifications.
  • A passion for Sociology and a commitment to high standards in education.
  • Must be available for January 2025.
