We have a fantastic opportunity for a Service Manager/Workshop Control Support at our clients Southampton Location.

Working within their service team in this fast paced, busy depot, you will be a key member at the heart of their whole operation. This is a very hands-on role, you will be responsible for overseeing the operation of the service department duties to include:

  • Assisting or covering workshop control, for holiday/absence.
  • Cultivate successful business sales culture focused on customer service excellence, customer retention and new business, for both Workshop and Parts.
  • Operating to achieve a very high KPI standard, MOT pass rates, Renault 24 breakdown results, Rex CSS reports, maintaining dealer standards and audits at all times.
  • Fully integrate yourself in their systems and processes so you have broad brush understanding of all, as diverse as jobs card creation, customer updates, retail costing, workshop control, parts processes and systems.
  • Manage the day-to-day workshop activities and to ensure productivity, stock control, and quality performance measures are met.
  • Increase efficiency, effectiveness and profitability by managing and engaging the team’s productivity and financial target attainments.
  • Ensure robust group standardized policies are carried out and adhered to by all staff.
  • Identifying and implementing training needs for all staff, to include staff recruitment.

This role would suit an experienced automotive manager / workshop controller having worked in similar role is essential, ability to work calmly under pressure and manage the workshop, diligence and accuracy are important, proven management and leadership skills, computer literate including Microsoft office, proactive, positive attitude, with a dynamic personality who will share their energy and passion and contribute to our ongoing success.

Salary Range: Dependant on experience including KPI Bonus.

Basic Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.00 am to 6.00 pm with ½ an hour unpaid lunch

Every thirdSaturday mornings 8.00 am to 12 noon.

Holiday: Holiday is 30 days including bank holidays. Increase with time served
