The Role:

Are you an experienced Vehicle Technician or Workshop Manager, eager to take the next step in your career? We have an exciting opportunity for a Workshop Team Leader, this will be a hands-on role. Where you will be required to manage a team of Technician’s and provide support in the workshop when required.

Our client is an established and growing used car sales organisation located on the outskirts of Southampton.

Salary: Up to £45,000!!Bonuses: Earn up to £125 per week, plus uncapped overtime

Shift Pattern:

5 days on, 5 days off, 5 days on, 5 days off, 4 days on, 4 days off

This means you only work 15 days per month

Hours: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM, averaging 40.25 hours per week

Applicants must hold a Full UK Driving Licence

Key Responsibilities:

Work scheduling

Auditing & Training team

Maximise teams’ output and ensure correct cars are being worked through the Workshop for the overall success of the prep centre

Liaising with parts to reduce spend on cars when a second hand or green part may be able to be ordered

Technician efficiencies and sold hours reporting

Oversee processes within areas of responsibility to ensure daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs are met.

Oversee direct reports, ensuring daily responsibilities are met.

Ensure a safe and tidy workspace for the team.

Conduct appraisals, briefings, and training, recording details per company procedures.

Prioritise health and safety for the team and other colleagues.

Undertake a full range of workshop duties.

The Package:

£36,000 to £40,000 Basic Salary, £45,000 OTE.
