S.N.G Healthcare is looking for a compassionate and proactive support worker fluent in Arabic and English to provide care and support to a young person in a childrens residential home. The young person is active and enjoys going to the gym, playing football, and swimming. The ideal candidate will be able to offer emotional and practical support while ensuring a culturally sensitive approach to care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support, ensuring the young persons safety, well-being, and independence.
  • Engage in sporting and recreational activities like going to the gym, playing football, and swimming.
  • Foster a supportive and culturally aware environment that meets individual needs.
  • Assist with daily routines, including emotional and practical support.
  • Collaborate with professionals, families, and the care team to deliver a person-centered approach.
  • Adhere to safeguarding protocols, confidentiality policies, and care standards.

Requirements

  • Fluent in Arabic and English (spoken and written).
  • Experience working in childrens residential care, youth work, or social care.
  • Awareness of cultural sensitivities and the ability to support young people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Enthusiastic about sports and physical activities.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).

Desirable

  • Relevant qualifications (Social Care, Youth Work, Psychology, etc.).
  • Experience supporting young people with emotional or behavioral needs.
