We have a rare opportunity working as a Domestic Assistant, assisting with both housekeeping and laundry duties at our wonderful Little Haven, Nursing and Residential Care Home in Dibden Purlieu.
Little Haven is a home for 41 residents and is situated just a short stroll from the village of Dibden Purlieu, within easy reach of Hythe and its ferry crossing to Southampton. The home is split over three floors with lift access to each floor. The en-suite rooms are all light, airy and benefit from stunning views of the gardens, an acre of wood and terraced gardens.
Everwood is a charity that exists solely to provide high-quality care for older people in our community. We offer nursing and residential care at Little Haven and at our sister home Heartland Manor we offer dementia and residential care.
Job Responsibilities:
Assisting to maintain the high levels of cleanliness and hygiene of all resident communal areas and 45 private rooms
- Operating washing and drying machine(s)
- Separate dirty linen into appropriate loads
- Collect soiled laundry from Room Attendants to Laundry room
- Ensure all freshly cleaned linen is stored safely and effectively
Interacting with residents and care staff to help create a warm and homely environment
Adhering and working to all Infection Control and Health and Safety
Report any maintenance and H&S issues to the maintenance team
