A unique role has become available supporting children and young people with special educational needs (SEN) in a classroom setting near Totton.
Hunts Recruitment is looking for enthusiastic, skilled and resilient Teaching Assistants / Learning Support Assistants to work on a flexible basis within an Ofsted rated Good special needs school near Totton.
You will be working with young people who have a range of needs including profound and complex difficulties, severe learning difficulties and autism. This vacancy includes providing personal care to students, and supporting them with physically challenging behaviours.Please only consider this job vacancy if you are happy with this.
The ideal candidate will possess:
Experience working or volunteering with children with SEN ideally within a school setting or similar
Proactive work ethic
Resilient & patient nature
A good understanding of special educational needs and behaviours
The ability to provide a range of support to pupils
Be flexible but committed to the hours you can offer
