Full-Time Teaching Assistant – Inclusion Unit (Southampton)
GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Teaching Assistant to join the Inclusion Unit at a reputable secondary school in Southampton. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work closely with students who have Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, supporting their academic and personal development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in delivering a range of academic and vocational subjects to small groups of students within the Inclusion Unit.
- Provide tailored support to vulnerable students and those at risk of exclusion, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate with a dedicated team to develop and implement individualised strategies that promote student engagement and success.
Ideal Candidate:
- A passionate team player with a strong commitment to inclusion and understanding of the importance of building positive relationships within a school setting.
- Experience working with young people with SEMH needs is highly desirable.
- Flexibility and adaptability to support various subjects and activities, including outdoor education, horticulture, animal care, construction, and bicycle maintenance.
