Location: Totton, Southampton

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £13.50 per hour

Working Hours: Day shift 8am – 8pm / Night shift 8pm - 8am (Flexible with working days; at least 1 weekend a month required)

Job Summary:

Gap Healthcare is currently recruiting for a dedicated Support Worker on behalf of our client based in Ipswich. We are looking for a compassionate individual to provide 2:1 care for individuals with Autism, mental health issues, self-harm behaviours, and ligature risks.

Key Responsibilities:

Personalised Support:

  • Provide intensive 2:1 support for daily activities and personal care.
  • Offer emotional support and manage anxiety and stress.
  • Implement individualized care plans.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and maintain accurate records.
  • Attend training on Autism, mental health, self-harm, and ligature.
  • Work closely with healthcare providers, therapists, and family members to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Encourage participation in community activities and social interactions to enhance quality of life.

Essential:

  • Minimum 1 year of care experience.
  • Knowledge of Autism, mental health issues, self-harm, and ligature risks.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Desirable:

  • Health and Social Care qualifications.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
