Salary: £13.50 per hour
Working Hours: Day shift 8am – 8pm / Night shift 8pm - 8am (Flexible with working days; at least 1 weekend a month required)
Job Summary:
Gap Healthcare is currently recruiting for a dedicated Support Worker on behalf of our client based in Ipswich. We are looking for a compassionate individual to provide 2:1 care for individuals with Autism, mental health issues, self-harm behaviours, and ligature risks.
Key Responsibilities:
Personalised Support:
- Provide intensive 2:1 support for daily activities and personal care.
- Offer emotional support and manage anxiety and stress.
- Implement individualized care plans.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and maintain accurate records.
- Attend training on Autism, mental health, self-harm, and ligature.
- Work closely with healthcare providers, therapists, and family members to ensure comprehensive care.
- Encourage participation in community activities and social interactions to enhance quality of life.
Essential:
- Minimum 1 year of care experience.
- Knowledge of Autism, mental health issues, self-harm, and ligature risks.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Desirable:
- Health and Social Care qualifications.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
