Description:

Position: Team Leader - Home Care

Location: Southampton, UK

Type: Permanent, Full-Time

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Team Leader to join our busy domiciliary care service based in Southampton. As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of care workers and ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to our clients in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support a team of care workers, providing guidance and mentoring as needed
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to team members
  • Ensure all care plans are up to date and being followed accurately
  • Coordinate client schedules and assign care workers to appropriate shifts
  • Monitor and maintain stock levels of necessary equipment and supplies
  • Communicate with clients and their families to ensure their needs are being met and address any concerns or issues that may arise
  • Conduct regular team meetings and training sessions to ensure all staff are up to date on policies and procedures
  • Assist with recruitment and onboarding of new care workers
  • Maintain accurate and timely records and reports
  • Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a supervisory/leadership role in a home care setting
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities
  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Knowledge of CQC regulations and standards
  • Valid UK driver's license and access to a vehicle for work purposes
