Waking Night Support Worker- Children and Young People-Totton

Hunts Recruitment is looking forpassionate Waking Night Support Workers for a child careteam near Totton.

You will be working with young people with additional behaviours and emotional needs within a residential setting.

- Job Type:Permanent - Full time

- Salary:£24,375.00- £27,500 per annum

- Hours:22.30-8.30am- 4 nights one week and 3 the next (must be flexible to work hour either side of above times if required )

- NVQ 2 or above preferred but not essential

Your job role will be:

- To help provide a therapeutic, structured and relaxed environment in which young people can develop and enjoy their lives.

- To facilitate good communication within all levels of the staff team.

- Identifying the young person's emotional, physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs and make appropriate decisions for action in consultation with the Management Team.

- To supervise and share meal times with the young people, to encourage a positive attitude towards food and appropriate behaviour at mealtimes.

- To assist in the delivery of care and leisure opportunities following individual activity programmes in conjunction with, and following guidance from day service staff.
