A small, yet well-established engineering firm that continues to thrive is seeking a high-calibre Software Engineer to develop real-time software, primarily in C/C++ on Linux but also connecting to cloud based apps. This position allows for the development of technical leadership abilities and the mentorship of a few graduate software engineers, making any previous leadership experience valuable.
In addition to low-level embedded coding, there are also opportunities to work on web applications using JavaScript, and handle communications over TCP/IP, serial, and CAN bus, along with some mathematical tasks.
Given the highly technical nature of the role, a strong academic background is required, including A-grade A levels and a degree from a leading university. While degrees in Computer Science or Electronics are ideal, those with proven programming skills from other disciplines are also welcomed.
Suitable Software Engineers should possess a few years commercial experience and solid knowledge in C or C++ to apply.

- Developing and maintaining web applications using JavaScript (either server or client side)
- Cloud based systems
- Communication protocols such as TCP/IP, serial and CAN bus
- Embedded systems, RTOS, Linux
