An award winning software and tech company looking for a talented Software Developer to work within their talented development team. You will make a key contribution to development and the success of customer projects. Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot, test, and validate software issues; resolve issues with due urgency and maintain thorough documentation of all software solutions
- Participate in design decisions for new and existing application development, proactively escalating issues and seeking assistance to overcome obstacles
- The ability to identify and correct software issues within the code while triaging
- Perform testing to ensure systems meet documented user requirements
- Use a disciplined approach in an Agile environment to assist in analysis and determination of preferred solutions to technical challenges
- Perform engineering level tests to find defects; troubleshoot and debug development and production issues, collaborating with QA Engineers to develop optimal product test plans
- Provide on-call (after hours) support for evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
Skills Required:
- Minimum bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or similar
- 3-6 years' experience designing and developing new or maintaining existing software applications in a software product development environment
- Experience in Java, C and C++, SQL, HTML, JavaScript, Delphi
- Knowledge of databases and operating systems
- Experience in using an issue tracking system a plus
