Prospero Teaching is currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join our client SEN setting in Calmore. If you have a passion for supporting young people with special educational needs, this could be the perfect role for you!The setting caters to pupils between the ages of 5-18 years old. The pupils have a range of needs including Social, Emotional and Behavioural difficulties as well as moderate learning difficulties and mental health difficulties.

SEN experience is desired for this position.

  • Minimum rate of pay - £13.09 per hour
  • Hours - Monday - Friday 08:30am - 15:30pm

Experience, Training and Qualifications

  • Previous Teaching Assistant experience is required, ideally within the SEN Sector, although this is not essential providing you have the right attitude and desire.
  • Previous experience working with challenging behaviour would be advantageous
  • A passion for working with children with SEMH.
  • Pro Active in the classroom and a willingness to join in with class activities.
  • You should have lots of energy and enthusiasm with a positive attitude towards working with SEN students.

Eligibility:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child related references
