Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and passionate Full-Time Cover Supervisor specializing in English-based subjects. In this role, you will be responsible for supervising classes in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring that students remain engaged and focused on their learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Classroom Supervision: Oversee and manage student behavior during lessons, maintaining a positive learning environment.
- Lesson Delivery: Deliver pre-prepared English lessons and support students in their understanding of the curriculum.
- Student Support: Provide academic assistance and encouragement to students, promoting participation and engagement.
- Communication: Liaise with teaching staff regarding student progress and any classroom issues that may arise.
- Classroom Management: Implement school policies to ensure a safe and respectful atmosphere.
Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Strong knowledge of English language and literature; degree in English or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Prior experience working with secondary school students is highly desirable.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build rapport with students and staff.
- Adaptability: Flexible and responsive to different classroom dynamics and student needs.
