Part-Time Cover Supervisor - Southampton School (PE Specialism Preferred)
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Cover Supervisor to join our team at a friendly and supportive school in Southampton. This is a part-time position, requiring availability on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. While a specialism in PE is desirable, it is not essential; however, you must be comfortable covering PE lessons regularly.
Salary: £162.32 - £190.05 per day
About the Role:As a Cover Supervisor, your primary responsibility will be managing classrooms in the absence of regular teachers. You will oversee pre-set lessons and ensure that students remain focused and engaged. Key duties include:
- Supervising students and ensuring they complete the assigned tasks
- Managing classroom behaviour in accordance with school policies
- Assisting students with questions or issues that arise during lessons
- Adhering to the school's behaviour and safeguarding policies
- Collecting and returning completed work to the appropriate department
- Providing feedback on lesson progress and student engagement
- Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor or similar role within a UK school
- Willingness to cover PE lessons as part of your responsibilities
- A degree in any subject (e.g., PE, Chemistry, Business Studies) is preferred but not required
