The School and Role

An SEN school based in Southampton are currently seeking SEN Teaching Assistants to start in September 2024. The school caters for secondary pupils with a range of complex learning difficulties, including autism and speech and language difficulties. All pupils have an Educational Health Care Plan (EHCP). 

The successful Support Assistant will be required to work 1-1 with pupils, assisting them academically as well as overcoming barriers to learning and supporting them emotionally.

Requirements 

The desired Teaching Assistant will have;

- Experience of working with primary and/or secondary school aged children

- Experience of working with pupils with SEND

- A passion for the progress of pupils

- An ability to work as part of a team
