Are you interested in supporting children with Special Educational or Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs?A specialist school for boys aged 11-19 years with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs, based in Southampton, are looking for bright and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant's available to start after half term!The school are looking for Teaching Assistant's who can follow their core values of showing respect, taking responsibility and being ready to learn. Their aim is to ensure children who attend the school are able to experience a mainstream academic experience whilst feeling supported by the excellent staff they have on site! You should always be prepared to support the pupils in class and with their every day life during school days! The school have smaller class sizes to ensure the safety and learning experience of the students is the best it can be. Due to the needs of the students, ideally you will have relevant, recent experience or qualifications, we will consider candidates qualified in Psychology, Counselling or Criminology but other subjects will also be considered.The schools are across Portsmouth and they are looking to fill vacancies for full-time Teaching Assistants starting from September. The SEN children are aged 2 to 19 and require consistent, ongoing support in order to ensure they have the highest quality of care and child-centred support.The School is looking for SEN Teaching Assistants who can bring enthusiasm, passion and experience to the classroom. They are looking for SEN TA's who will be proactive and adaptable and be able to use their own initiative. Resilience and confidence to work with challenging behaviour is desirable!
