This is a permanent position where you will play a key role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and ensuring that every learner receives the tailored support they need to succeed academically and personally.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students who require additional support, assisting them in overcoming barriers to learning and helping them achieve their full potential. You’ll be part of a dynamic and dedicated team of educators committed to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEN, helping them engage fully in lessons and complete academic tasks.
  • Assist in the development of tailored learning plans and strategies to support students’ individual needs.
  • Support students with personal care, behavioural needs, and social development as necessary.
  • Work alongside the SENCO and other staff to monitor students’ progress, recording any achievements or concerns.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is highly desirable.
  • A passion for working with young people and making a difference in their lives.
  • A caring, patient, and proactive attitude with strong interpersonal skills.
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent qualification) is preferred.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team and build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
