English Teacher - SEN School, Southampton - January 2025 startAcademics are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable English Teacher to join a thriving SEN School in Southampton on a full-time, permanent contract. This is to start in January 2025.They are looking for an engaging English teacher who enjoys teaching in an SEN environment. You must have a passion for working with children and young people with additional needs including Autism and Challenging Behaviours.You will be required to plan and deliver English lesson across the school to meet the individual learning needs of the students. Due to the nature of the setting, this would be suited to someone who is able to offer variety and enjoys mixing things up when needed to keep the children engaged.You must be an English teacher, or have recent experience of planning and delivering English up to KS4.They are a mixed 7-16, local authority funded, SEN day school in Southampton for children, most of who have high functioning ASD. They are a team with extensive experience and expertise in special education and therapeutic support for pupils whose needs can no longer be met in a mainstream provision.
