If you are an experienced SEN Math Teacher then this is your opportunity to shine. GSL Education is looking for a passionate SEN Math Teacher (Special Education Needs) for a ASD school for children aged 7-16 with Autism, ADHD and SEMH. This is an outstanding school with a great reputation, only been open 3.5 years. They are seeking a SEN MathTeacher; someone who is experienced in teaching History, Geography and Religious Studies.

APPLICANTS MUST HAVE UK QTS AND UK TEACHING EXPERIENCE.

Key Responsibilities of a SEN Math Teacher: 

  • Create and deliver personalised learning plans for students with ASD, ADHD, SEMH.
  • Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and external professionals.
  • Expertise in teaching History, Geography and Religious Studies.
  • Assess and monitor students’ progress, reporting regularly.
  • Manage challenging behaviour with effective strategies.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development for SEN practices.

Requirements for a SEN Math Teacher:

  • Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS).
  • Experience in teaching History, Geography or Religious Studies to SEN students, preferably in schools.
  • Strong knowledge of SEN Code of Practice and safeguarding.
  • Excellent communication, adaptability, and interpersonal skills.
  • Enhanced DBS check and right to work in the UK.
  • Valid driving license and access to a vehicle.
