School Staffing Solutions are recruiting on behalf of a brand NEW SEN School in Southampton that has just opened its doors to students aged 9-16 with SEMH needs.

This is a VERY exciting opportunity to work in a small 'closeknit' school that is providing education to young people who need help overcoming barriers to education.

We are seeking a secondary trained teacher who has a good working knowledge of several core subjects such Maths, English, Science or Humanities and has the ability to build rapport and positive relationships with vulnerable young people.

This role is long term with the opportunity and it can become permanent for the right person.

About You:

  • Teaching Qualification and QTS
  • Min. of 12 months experience teaching in UK
  • Good subject knowledge and ability to teach several subjects
  • Positive 'cando' attitude and warm personality
  • Experience of teaching students with SEN-ASC/SEMH
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit different learning styles
  • Good understanding of child protection and safeguarding policies
