Senior Estimator
We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Estimator / Senior Estimator to join a busy regional main contractor in Southampton. The business is privately owned and operates out of several offices across the country. Their project portfolio is diverse and includes projects across the industrial, commercial, social housing and education valuing up to 15mil.
They're now looking to expand their pre-construction team and are looking to speak with Estimators with a solid history having worked for either tier 1 or regional main contractors. You must have a track record of successfully tendering schemes valuing up to 15mil and framework experience will be highly beneficial.
About the role of Senior Estimator:
As Senior Estimator, you will be working closely with the rest of the pre-construction team to compile competitive bids. You will be able to tender projects independently and offer assistance to the junior members of the team.
Key Responsibilities as Senior Estimator:
- Work from first principles
- Independently tender projects valuing up to 20mil.
- Work collaboratively with Surveying and Operational teams to produce competitive tenders
- Support and mentor junior members of staff
Key Requirements for this Senior Estimator role:
- Track record of successfully tendering schemes valued up to 15mil
- Experience with competitive tendering and negotiated schemes
- Experience with single and two-stage tenders.
- Live within a commutable distance to Southampton and be happy to travel to office and site when required
- Have the full right to work in the UK
