Title: Category Manager (6-month FTC)

Salary & Package: £55,000 (pro-rata) + bonus + private healthcare + 25 days holiday and additional benefits
Sea Global are delighted to be partnering with a market leading business at the forefront of their industry who are looking for an experienced procurement professional to join their team on a 6-month FTC. It is a really exciting time to get involved in the business as they are looking for someone to come in and manage a range of direct commodities.
Reporting into the Director of Procurement, they will be responsible for leading and developing a range of categories, looking after the spend and championing procurement improvements and cost-savings initiatives.
They are ideally looking for someone that has end-to-end category management experience across a range of direct categories from a manufacturing or similar environment and will be able to hit the ground running from day one.

Role & Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies across multiple different commodities.
- Build relationships with local and international suppliers, negotiating and ensuring deals align with business activities.
- Support and manage multiple projects from cradle to grave, driving strategy and communicating risks with the team & business.
- Develop and lead procurement process across sourcing and operational procurement processes.
Experience & Requirements
- Highly experienced within Direct Procurement in a Manufacturing environment.
- Comfortable working in an international market, demonstrating excellent supplier management skills.
- Can undertake work and projects on their own initiative.
- Ideally degree and/or MCIPS qualified (however, this is not at all essential)
