Original Talent Recruitment are currently working with a well known Freight Forwarder in their search for a Customs Manager. In this role you will be responsible of the compliance and processes of Customs Clearance across the business

Duties to include but not limited to:

Support all departments to ensure they are following the correct processes and compliance surrounding customs clearance
Act as the "got to person" for all customs queries
Support the finance team with invoices and account queries
Perform risk management assessments, monitor changes in customs and complete audits around this
As and when needed you will need to process clearances during busy times
General operations on a day to day basis
Meet the forever changing expectations and processes issued by HMRC

Ideally you will:

Have 3 years experience in a Freight forwarding/ Import/ Export role
Have a minimum of 5 years experience within Customs Clearance
Have an ability to be able to implement changes to internal teams
Be able to recognise changes in the market
Be able to negotiate confidently
Hold a BIFA qualification
