Original Talent Recruitment are currently working with a well known Freight Forwarder in their search for a Customs Manager. In this role you will be responsible of the compliance and processes of Customs Clearance across the business

Duties to include but not limited to:

  • Support all departments to ensure they are following the correct processes and compliance surrounding customs clearance
  • Act as the "got to person" for all customs queries
  • Support the finance team with invoices and account queries
  • Perform risk management assessments, monitor changes in customs and complete audits around this
  • As and when needed you will need to process clearances during busy times
  • General operations on a day to day basis
  • Meet the forever changing expectations and processes issued by HMRC

Ideally you will:

  • Have 3 years experience in a Freight forwarding/ Import/ Export role
  • Have a minimum of 5 years experience within Customs Clearance
  • Have an ability to be able to implement changes to internal teams
  • Be able to recognise changes in the market
  • Be able to negotiate confidently
  • Hold a BIFA qualification
