At Driver Hire Southampton, we are excited to announce an opening for a Trade Counter Assistant position on behalf of our esteemed client. We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong understanding of warehouse operations. This is a hands-on role, where you will be assisting customers, processing orders, managing stock, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations on the trade counter.
About this position:
- 12-week temp to perm position
- Monday to Friday- no weekends
- 8:00am- 5:00pm with 1 hour lunch
- Develop and sustain strong relationships with clients
- Handle client quotation and sales orders
- Warehouse work- picking and packing, stock management etc
- Assisting in completing deliveries to customers when required
- Make outgoing calls to potential new clients
- Apply electrical knowledge to help customers in store and over the phone
What we require from you:
- Full UK driving licence held for minimum of 1 year
- Fantastic customer service and communication skills
- Confident on the phone and computer literate
- Strong negotiation abilities
- Previous background in sales and the electrical industry is beneficial
- Ability to work under pressure effectively and reach sales targets
- Happy to help in the warehouse as well as completing deliveries

- Salary between £27,000-£30,000 (based on experience)
