Our client are a rapidly growing and innovative business who deliver specialist chemical and physical testing services for a wide range of clients within the Pharma, Food & Beverage and Cosmetics industries, amongst others. Due to growth, they are now looking to hire a Trainee Technical Sales Representative to join their friendly and supportive team.
Responsibilities will include developing and nurturing sales for the business, targeting a range of specialist markets within the scientific and industrial sectors. Working with some major names in the industry, you will look to prospect relevant companies and approach them in an enthusiastic and knowledgeable manner, helping them to understand the benefits of the services offered. You will need to be able to have technical conversations with key decision makers and be able to articulate specialist services in a manageable way for your audience. Travel overseas to exhibitions and conferences will also play a part of the role.
To be considered for this opportunity you should hold a scientific degree, ideally Physics or Chemical Engineering related. This is a commercially focused role so you will need to be able to work well with others and be confident when talking over the phone and in person. Sales experience from a previous role is desired but is not mandatory. The ability to be energetic, enthusiastic and have an appetite to deliver results will be hugely important. A natural resilience and ability to persevere will also be highly useful. You will also hold a valid driver’s licence and have your own transport.

This role is mainly office / home based and does not require that much travel to UK client sites.
