Garment Technician

Sanderson have partnered with a leading retail brand on an ongoing product development project within their technical work wear and construction apparel range - with a particular focus on performance trousers.In this role, you would play a key part in ensuring these garments meet the rigorous performance, durability, and compliance standards required for the construction sector, while also ensuring optimal fit, function, and wearer comfort.Key Responsibilities:

  • Fit sessions and fit comment creation, ensuring accurate block development and fit consistency across the range.
  • Managing grading specifications, ensuring the size range meets industry expectations for both functionality and comfort.
  • Collaborating closely with international manufacturing partners, ensuring materials and construction methods meet both performance criteria and compliance standards.
  • Conducting garment testing and quality assurance checks to ensure products withstand the demands of on-site environments.
  • Contributing to the development of technical product packs, detailing construction, stitching, and functional design elements (reinforced seams, tool pocket placements, knee pad compatibility, etc.).

This project will also provide exposure to other core garments within the wider technical work wear range, giving you the chance to broaden your experience in the protective apparel and performance wear sector.
