We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Tug Driver to join our team. The Tug Driver will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of tug vehicles to transport goods, trailers, and containers within our facility and across designated areas. This role requires strong attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

-Operate Tug Vehicles: Safely drive and manoeuvre tugs to transport trailers, containers, and other equipment within the yard, warehouse, or airport areas.

-Loading & Unloading: Assist in connecting and disconnecting trailers from tug vehicles, ensuring secure coupling, and conducting checks before transport.

Material Transport: Move products between locations within the facility, ensuring timely and accurate delivery in line with company guidelines.

Safety Compliance: Follow all safety procedures and regulations, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) and performing pre- and post-trip inspections of tug vehicles.

Maintenance Checks: Conduct routine checks of tug vehicles to ensure they are in good working order, reporting any mechanical issues or needed repairs to maintenance personnel.

Documentation: Maintain accurate logs and records of all transports, including trailer numbers, routes, and delivery times.

Adhere to Schedules: Maintain efficiency in meeting deadlines for moving goods between areas as per company schedules.

Qualifications:

Experience: Previous experience as a tug driver, forklift operator, or in a similar transportation role is preferred but not required.

Licensing: A valid driver's license is required. Class 1 required - No need to have relevant experience, As long as you have a class 1

-Physical Ability: Ability to lift and move heavy loads, stand for extended periods, and operate heavy machinery safely.

Safety Knowledge: Familiarity with workplace safety practices and vehicle inspection processes.

Communication Skills: Good verbal communication skills to coordinate with team members effectively.

Skills and Competencies:

Attention to Detail: Careful handling of goods and precision in transport to avoid accidents and damage.

Time Management: Ability to work efficiently and complete tasks within designated time frames.

Work Environment:

- Primarily operates in outdoor or warehouse environments, potentially exposed to varying weather conditions.
