We are now looking for a HGV Trailer Technician to work on a permanent basis with our busy and friendly client based in Southampton, Hampshire. 

This is a hands-on position that requires technical knowledge and problem solving skills.

The bit about the shift pattern: 

- Day Shift = Monday to Friday (10 hour shifts) 

The bit about the pay and perks:

- £44,000 a year + Overtime always available at 1.5

The bit about the duties:

- To inspect, service and repair trailers to a high maintenance standard, ensuring conformity to all current company EHS guidelines, policies, procedures and mandatory EHS legislation

- To ensure all compliance details are completed in an accurate and timely manner

- To undertake all required training as deemed necessary by the company

- Provide high customer service levels whilst working to specified deadlines

- Must always adhere to the company’s health and safety policies/procedures

- Conduct oneself in a consistent manner that always demonstrates good values and behaviours

The bit about the required skills:

- Welding experience (preferable but not essential)

- Double deck maintenance experience (preferable but not essential) 

- High level of enthusiasm and good communication skills

- Basic knowledge of computers and ability to complete relevant written documentation

- Good organisational skills and ability to be able to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines

- Initiative to work autonomously if required.

The bit about experience/qualifications:

- City & Guilds/NVQ level 3 OR qualified by experience
